Hi hi! I’m Rachelle! (rhymes with Michelle 😉)

I’m married to my husband Ryan who is the funniest person I know and a constant reminder to not take life too seriously. Together we have two little boys. Being a mom is the most challenging and rewarding title I carry. And can we talk about pregnancy for a second? Pregnancy is not for the weak and further confirmed to me that women are warriors.

At the beginning of 2022, our family moved to Phoenix, AZ for a temporary taste of the west coast. We’re moving back to Michigan in summer 2023, but this time we’ll be on the west side of the state. Raising kids without a village is no easy feat, so we’re planting roots where our families are.

I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Go green! Prior to entrepreneurship, I spent 8 years in advertising, marketing and production.

Traveling and exploring new places is my absolute favorite. When I was 24, I quit my job and solo-traveled internationally for 6 months. Now in my 30s, I’ve been to 34 countries. My favorite trips are those that combine nature, hiking, and wildlife. My dream is to capture an adventurous elopement on safari in Africa. I’m low-key obsessed with animals.

I’m a certified yoga instructor but I don’t teach. I truly believe having a yoga teacher background helps on the job because I’m able to articulate movement and guide couples into authentic prompts and poses. I’m into all things movement, fitness, wellness, and all that weird, woo-woo stuff. Unapologetically cheugy. I’m a Gemini sun / Libra moon / Sagittarius rising, a 3w4 on the Enneagram, ENFJ in Myers Briggs, a Manifesting Generator in Human Design, and my love language is Acts of Service. And if you know what any of that means, please message me and let’s nerd out sometime.

I could live on Greek salads with a side of fries. Fries are not my weakness but my strength and I put ranch on them always. I thank God every day I’m not allergic to peanut butter. I’ll take a pistachio macaron over any other dessert. I’m not a fan of red meat, Comic Sans, and I’ve got zero tolerance for people who are jerks to animals.

Now that you know a few of my quirks, I want you to know why I do this. Candid photos have always moved me and once I figured out the secret sauce of how to capture them, I wanted to be able to do it for others. The times this career has moved me to my core was when I received a few messages that a loved one has passed away and the photos I took of them are the most cherished. When you choose a photographer who is focused on emotional storytelling, you are choosing someone to capture the in-between moments that you and your family will cherish for generations.
