February 2020 Faves

Okay but where did February go? I’m not mad about it. It’s been a fun and busy month getting out of my comfort zone. I made networking a priority and attended two networking events. I hosted a headshot event and tested my low-lighting/indoor photography talents. I took baby steps toward growth and it feels pretty damn good. This weekend, I’m heading to Sweetwater Floral’s Hygge workshop in West Olive, MI. I pretty much fan girl over Kalin on the reg, so you can imagine how pumped I am for this business weekend intensive with other like-minded girl bosses. Enough rambling, here’s what I’ve been into for the month of February:

1. Nalgene Water Bottle

I aim to drink at least 3 of these babies each day. Some days are better than others, but one thing stays constant, I don’t wash my water bottle nearly enough as I should.

2. Assorted Happy Birthday Cards

It’s been a booming month for birthdays in my extended family so I was pulling this out quite often. I’m actually a BIG fan of homemade cards but when time is short, I rely on these. Because who really has time to go buy a birthday card from the store?

3. Blue Light Blocking Glasses

These blue light blocking glasses are my jam plus Ryan says I look hot in them. I got them to be kinder to my eyes since I’m staring at my computer and phone each day for more hours than I’d like to admit.

4. You Are A Badass At Making Money

THIS BOOK!!! I find myself thinking about this book in all kinds of different scenarios and conversations now. One of my fave quotes from this book is, “What comes out of your mouth comes into your life.”

5. External Hard Drive

My go-to 2 TB external hard drive that I use for backing up my MacBook Pro aka entire life. After every shoot, I use this little guy to backup the files from the SD cards.

6. Loose Fit Jumpsuit

I wore this a couple times on vacation in Portugal and fell in love. It’s going to be a staple when it gets a little warmer out in Michigan. It’s so stretchy and comfortable I have 100% confidence I’ll be adding it to my maternity wardrobe whenever we decide to have baby #2.

7. Godox V860ii Flash Speedlite

As I mentioned in the beginning of this post, I started to really dabble in low-light photography aka shitty indoor lighting that’s out of your control. So, rather than feel intimated by it, I decided to arm myself with some legit lighting equipment. I bought two of these speedlites and I now feel confident going into the 2020 wedding season with these bad boys in my camera backpack.

8. Pet Training Pads

No, I do not have a puppy and no, we are not getting one. These training pads are on this list because we use them literally every day. This could be a small dog thing, not sure, but we trained Jack to use these pads if we’re not home and he can’t hold it. Better than him going on the carpet!

9. Felt Letter Board

I have this felt letter board hanging in my kitchen and it makes me happy, plain and simple. I love changing up the letters every few weeks to something fun, inspiring, or for whatever holiday is coming up. It’s got a minimalist vibe that you can put your own personal touch on, which is a win for me because I’ve never really been into decor that features words or quotes. I love quotes, probably more than most, but the ones that are for sale in the home decor section are too cheesy for me personally. But hey, to each their own. Just promise me you don’t have any Live Laugh Love shit hanging in your home.
